This workshop was held recently in Rotorua at an early childhood centre, who are very keen to develop early skills around language and literacy and keen to learn how to write learning stories to reflect the progress their tamariki are making. It is based on understanding the processes involved with learning poems and nursery rhymes and taking this to the next level by using games and resources to promote rhyme development, which underpins later formal literacy development.
