Exciting news! Jane van der Zeyden (of Tools4Teachers) and I are joining forces to facilitate professional development for Junior Primary to Intermediate teachers around oral language and literacy. Students need oral language competence as a foundation on which to base their formal literacy learning. Sadly, this competence is often not in place by school entry which can hinder a student’s progress.
Jane, a teacher and I, a Speech Language Therapist, have many years of experience in this field and can provide an informative workshop for teachers looking for strategies to incorporate deliberate teaching of oral language skills in your classroom across all curriculum areas.
