DESCRIPTION:This one day Early Childhood Workshop Day brings together early childhood educators\, including parents.\n\nI will be presenting 3 workshops during the day. The first one with Erin Devlin (Uniquely Kiwi) titled:\n"Rhyming: An essential preliteracy skill in early childhood."\nStrategies to assist tamariki discover rhyme through poems\, books and puppets.Using rhythm and rhyme as important learning tools with language and literacy links to formal learning.Includes puppetry skills and Kiwana story and rhyme enactments.\n\nThe second workshop will be presented twice.\n"You need to have it by age 5" Annette Stock\nAs a child's adult language has basically developed by age five\, parents\, caregivers and educators need to have a thorough understanding or oral language development through these first five years.
